In our session, we will be looking at under-represented pride flags and learning their meanings as well as making bracelets to donate to an LGBTQ+ nonprofit, Center Lane, in White Plains.

During the Girl Up Club’s session, students will create empowering collages using printed photos and scrap materials. These collages will feature famous inventions created by women, designed to inspire and support our community. The completed collages will be donated to the Scarsdale Public Library to spread positivity beyond our school.
Our goal is to provide a hands-on opportunity for students to engage in community service by creating visual messages of encouragement. This session will foster creativity and teamwork among students and encourage sustainability!
We are going to decorate sugar cookies that will be sold during the Community Time club fair! The money we make from selling the cookies will go to Westchester Jewish Community Services.
The session will begin with a presentation about Friends of Karen, a nonprofit organization for families under the poverty line with terminally ill children. After that, we will be making craft kits for the kids in the hospitals and their siblings. You will also be making cards with uplifting messages and fun designs!
This period will begin with an introduction of current pressing NYS legislation regarding students, and will transition into a lesson on how to advocate effectively through letter writing to legislators. Change-makers, make your voice heard through this session!
Participants will assemble all the resources to perform a chromatography experiment in packaged kits that will be sent out to underserved children. There will be art supplies to decorate the packaging bags at the end as well as notes to be included inside the kit.
Simulate a court case with evidence and eyewitnesses to learn more about wrongful conviction and how "mistakes" get made in the criminal justice system.
Reading Buddies is a club that travels to Yonkers each week to read and do homework with students at public schools! In our session, we'll pack back-to-school goodie bags for these kids. Come decorate bags, color bookmarks, write good luck cards, talk about your favorite books, and pack exciting toys to gift these students at the beginning of next school year.
This Non Sibi Day session will involve the process of creating a filtration system for microplastics. These small particles have multiple negative affects on our environment and people. Come to this session to get to know what the effects truly are!
In this session, students will each create their own (or multiple!) small tile(s) using Model Magic, adding their own designs, colors, and details using sculpting tools. All of the individual tiles will then be combined to form a larger mosaic of a fish, which will be displayed at the Scarsdale Public Library. For students seeking an extra challenge, we will also have custom tiles with more detailed designs, featuring seaweed, coral, and more.
Join us to learn how to administer Narcan to people who have overdosed. We provide some background on Narcan, teach students how to administer Narcan, allow them to practice administering it, and then give them kits to take home.

Join us for a hands-on session to package essential meals for families and individuals facing food insecurity in our area. By working directly with Second Chance Foods (a non-profit organization based in Brewster, NY), we are helping reduce food waste while providing direct, immediate support to those in need.
Learn about the refugee crisis from the Human Rights Club through a short informational slide show and quilt-making activity. Student-made quilts will be donated to the Wrap the World in Quilts organization.
Up to 4 teams race to build a cup tower, but every cup must be earned. Teams are given conflict scenarios by officers. Submit a unified answer your whole team agrees on, get a cup. First team to finish their tower wins, but only one teammate can end up in 1st place, voted on by the rest based on their contribution. Officers act as mediators, guiding teams toward logical solutions throughout. This challenge builds real skills: resolving conflict fast, knowing when to compromise, and when to push for more.
Build practical stress-management skills and put them to use. Participants will discuss real-life stress and coping, try a guided box breathing exercise, and learn how mindfulness can improve focus and emotional balance. Then, as a service project, each person will create three “Mindfulness Guide” brochures to share simple, useful strategies with others in the community.
Along with the City Meals on Wheels program, The Linguistics Club is running a workshop where we'll write cards to isolated senior citizens in NYC in their native languages, many of whom don't have anyone to see regularly. If you know Chinese, Russian, Spanish, Korean, French, German, or Italian--your skills would be greatly appreciated and will be a great comfort to seniors who may rarely communicate in their native languages. English speakers are also more than welcome to come help; we also need letters in English!
